Due to the current global health risk and in response to our customer feedback we have adapted by giving our customers more options such as legal Online Wills for simple Wills and video media for complex Wills. Funeral Planning, Estate Administration and other services can arranged via phone consultation or in person by adhering to ‘social distancing’ rules. These methods worked well for our clients during lockdown. In order to keep everyone safe we are continuing to work in this way during the easing of lockdown.
In July the Government announced temporary legislation for the witnessing of Wills via video in England and Wales. This change will be effected in September 2020 and backdated to 31 January 2020. This is the date of the first confirmed coronavirus case in the UK. It will remain in place until at least 31 January 2022.
Questions our customers have asked us: is an online will legal? Yes, providing you fit the criteria and the Will is executed correctly. If you have questions, such as is an online will legal? How do I get help with Executor responsibilities? What pre-paid funeral options can I choose from? Then please contact us to discuss your requirements.
As a registered member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers we have adopted approved methods for provisioning our services in line with governments ‘social distancing’ guidance.
We aim to respond within 24 hours and apologise for any delay as timescales may vary to those advertised so that we can continue to keep our clients, staff and partners safe. This is our number one priority.
We continue to monitor the evolving situation very closely and will amend our procedures if guidance changes.
